Print PDF

One of the components of the national drug rehabilitation strategy for Tallaght and surrounding areas is called ‘NDRIC protocols’.

Essentially, it is an investment in services working together with a view to client progression regardless of their circumstances or where they are on the recovery spectrum.  It provides clients with consistency and supported pathways of care.

Half day seminar (venue to be confirmed) MAY 21st 9a.m. – 1.00p.m.

1. Outline the NDRIC requirements for this area to become an operational site

2. Facilitate stakeholders to discuss the frameworks: shared care, key working, case management

3. Facilitate agreement of agencies interested to work within a model of shared care where appropriate

4. Flag any gaps and barriers to progression locally, regionally and nationally to address

The 3 hour workshop is for those who are doing drug education with young people or adults in Tallaght. It will enable participants to show that their drug education and drug prevention programmes are effective by providing them with the opportunity to understand best practice in drug prevention, identify what works and what does not, and look at how to apply this in practice.
