Description:

BASP is a community treatment centre for adult active drug users living in Brookfield. Drop-in available Monday to Thursday, 10.00 - 13.00. The service is opiate focused and  a GP clinic is available twice a week for methadone prescriptions.  Methadone is not dispensed on the premises,   Workshops (arts & crafts) and classes in harm reduction are available. Family support is informal. There are 2 part time addiction counsellors. Drug information and advice are available.

New service users are assessed briefly and then referred to HSE Glenabbey who arrange a jointly agreed treatment plan.  This includes access to BASP or another drug or alcohol support service in Tallaght.
