Duties: To ensure a safe environment for all patrons of Kiltalown House. Main duties will include upholding all security procedures to ensure the safe running of the house. Flexible working hours will be required for this post. Previous security experience would be an advantage but not necessary.

The is a Community Employment based position and is subject to a 9 month probationary period to include 3 x 3 monthly reviews.  FAS rates will apply, applicants must be registered with FAS and meet specific eligibility for these posts.

Free drug awareness courses for parents

PARENT’S SHORT-TERM DRUG AWARENESS COURSES

The Tallaght Drugs Education Initiative, through Tallaght Youth Service is running free, short-term drug awareness courses for parents in Tallaght. Parents, or guardians, who want to learn more about drug misuse and what they can do to help prevent their children from getting involved in drugs, can avail of these courses for free. They are most relevant to parents of 7 to 17 year olds living in Tallaght.

Courses range from 3-weeks (run in the mornings or evenings for 90 minutes a session) to a single day programme, usually on a Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch provided.
